Products Description

Ferro silicon is a kind of ferroalloy which is composed of ferrum and ailicon. Ferro silicon uses coke, quartz (or silica) as raw materials and is made by electric furance. Because silicon and oxygen are easily compound into SiO2,the ferrosilicon is often used as deoxidizer in steel making.

Application

(1) ferrosilicon is an indispensable deoxidizer in steelmaking industry. In steelmaking, ferrosilicon is used for precipitation deoxidation and diffusion deoxidation. Brick iron is also used as an alloying agent in steel-making.(2) used as inoculant and nodulizer in cast iron industry. 75 ferrosilicon is an important inoculant and nodularizing agent in the production of ductile iron.(3) use as reductant in ferroalloy production. Not only is there a large chemical affinity between silicon and oxygen, but ferrosilicon is low in carbon.
